Pet Home Story positions itself as an all-in-one tool for pet owners who want more than a simple reminder app. The core idea is to unify three things that pet parents typically juggle across separate tools: daily care tasks, medical records, and a personal timeline of memories.

What the App Covers

• Care scheduling: Set up feeding times, walks, grooming appointments, and vet visits, each with flexible reminders. A Today view surfaces what's due across all pets at once.
• Health records: Log vaccinations, medications, weight trends, insurance details, and vet contacts in a single profile per pet.
• Story timeline: Write journal entries, track moods, tag locations, and attach photos to build a living record of your pet's life.
• Pet profiles: Each pet gets a dedicated profile with name, species, breed, gender, birthday, adoption date, microchip ID, and a circular profile photo.

Interface and Design

The app uses a card-based layout with rounded corners, purple accent colouring, and tabbed navigation — Story, Tasks, Health, and Charts — each accompanied by an icon and text label. Behind the functional interface, the visual design is deliberately expressive: neon rainbow gradients, glowing sparkle effects, cartoon dog characters, a yellow doghouse with a paw print on the roof, and 3D-style logo text all give the app a playful, storybook atmosphere. This energy is consistent throughout, from the app icon to the promotional screens.

A Note on Accessibility

The same visual ambition that makes the app feel lively also creates some friction. The extremely high colour saturation and heavy use of rainbow gradients can make certain text harder to read against the background. The Delete action is indicated only in red without an additional shape or text cue, which may present a barrier for users with colour blindness. Accessibility documentation notes that some background elements may be distracting, and that contrast ratios in certain areas may not meet standard thresholds.

The app's strongest design decision is keeping all data on-device by default — a meaningful commitment in a category where cloud-sync often comes at the cost of privacy or a subscription paywall.
